Parternership and Bridge Program for Underrepresented Groups in Astrophysics
Program Summary
The Team for EXtragalactic AStrophysics (TEXAS) is a partnership between the University of North Texas (UNT), an R1 Minority-Serving Institution (MSI)/ Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), and the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). We run a post-baccalaureate bridge program for underrepresented groups in astronomy and astrophysics. We also organize monthly colloquia and annual symposia, which are open to all college students interested in astronomy and astrophysics in the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area. We are also coordinating many outreach activities related to the 2023 annular and 2024 total solar eclipses. Our program is supported by the National Science Foundataion (NSF).
