Antimatter Matters

Abstract

Although antimatter only comprises a small fraction of our known universe, the interactions that take place between antimatter and matter play an increasingly important role in our lives. These interactions have critical applications in areas ranging from medicine, to materials characterization, to the development of experiments addressing the most fundamental questions in physics today. Despite their importance, our understanding of these interactions harbors theoretical and experimental challenges still to be resolved. This talk will touch upon these issues and how we measure the complete kinematics of these interactions to improve our fundamental understanding, advance physics knowledge, and improve the applications that rely on this understanding.
