Abstract

In the Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theatre at the Music Building at 8pm I will be performing a Faculty Recital with “Traces of the Imaginary”, a program for cello and electronics, with Colin Stokes on cello, with music of J.S. Bach, E. Howard, E.F. Greene, C. Stokes, M. Buongiorno Nardelli and K. Saariaho.

 

Interwoven in the fabric of J.S. Bach Cello Suite n. 2 in D minor, this concert will present recent works for cello and electronics that span a variety of modalities and esthetics, from immersive explorations of forms to minimalistic ambiances, from lyric embraces to ethereal flights.
