Congratulations to Fatimah Habis (Grad Student) for receiving the Outstanding Poster Award from T-APS. Fatimah Habis, a physics graduate student in computational materials theory, has been awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Poster Presentation Award at the 2023 American Physics Society Texas Section Fall Meeting. For her poster, she talked about recent progress a developing rational design principles of crystallographic defects in 2D materials that can potentially serve as single photon emitters.
